Cool poem, I just wrote this one about something else, but I felt inspired to share.

You shine with a light I can not see. Reveling the clockwork, that
drives me to strut and fret an hour upon your stage and then be heard no
more

But still: as you pass me I will turn and open my heart to collect your
invisible rays.

And when you smile: you sate my hungry eye,
and burn a blush on my face.

Motes appear, glisten, dance, and vanish in your beams: I know they are
glimpses into the caged heart I love.

I try to hold these images in my mind, but I stumble, they blind me.
I’ve stared into your sun, and they are burned into my arms, where you
once were.

I now fumble with these arms, they only know your absence,
try to tell time with a clockwork that no longer knows,
contain a heart that is open but dark,
and eyes that search and hunger,
I am blinded without your light.

true enough but theres really no girls football or rugby to speak of. and especially not with this fan base as well as the national teams springing up in the last 3 years!
