i realize this is highly irregular as this is not a fansite nor am i the sort personality who really fawns over musicians. however–something recently caught my attention. let it be said, personally, im not much of a rock music fan. for the most part because i find the bulk of rock music unsatisfying and my tastes tend toward the ecclectic ,electronica, jazz and global influences.

however, in light of that, there is a band recently that has caught my attention again with thier new 2006 release. i am admitedly a fan of the music of tool and i have personally met alex grey (the arist featured within)–so i can testify to his amazingness. with all due respect, i had to post these lyrics, because well, they and the band are just too badass. this from a track called “jambi” :
